Eat right, sleep tight everything you need for sleeping foods
Eat right; sleep tight
It’s very easy to fall into the trap of relying on sleeping pills to help you fall asleep (or frantically tossing and turning while watching the hours tick by) and then needing caffeine to keep you awake. These quick fixes may seem like the easier option, but actually there is a much simpler and healthier route and it leads straight to your fridge.
Eating the right foods really do have so many benefits; remember, you get one body and taking care of it means it will take care of you. So what should you be eating?
Here are a few healthy options to get you started:
All about Almonds
Almonds not only do amazing things for your skin, they contain tryptophan and magnesium, which will help your muscles to relax. Add a banana to this snack, as they contain potassium as well as magnesium and your muscles will feel like they’ve had a massage from nature.
Oats and wholegrain, as they will both help to raise your blood sugar naturally and this will then make you feel sleepy. It is also why you should probably move your breakfast porridge to an evening snack, as feeling tired at the wrong time of day is no fun.
Cherries are a source of melatonin, which can help regulate your sleep cycle and mean you are ready to sleep at night and but also ready to rise and shine in the morning.
The list goes on and is really worth the research as everything is better after a good sleep. So no more looking at your clock/phone/laptop at 2am because you will be fast asleep and so glad you went to the supermarket.
